It’s that time of year again, the annual KCC Blastathon. Held at the international Blastadrome (Abingdon Weir) club members and their friends get together to strut their freestyle skills! Once we’ve made fools of ourselves its back to the club hut for a BBQ. The rain held off for the event and the BBQ despite the deluges [ READ MORE ]

Last night I spent a good couple of hours down at Abingdon weir. Wednesday is the weekly KCC paddling night and there were a good few of us there preparing for the upcoming Blastathon! Helped out with Pathfinders last night. Whilst the Dave’s and Lee took a trip to Abingdon weir (apparently on one gate) I gave Vicki a hand with the three lads doing the 2 Star training. A quick paddle up the Ock to practice strokes then eskimo and deep water rescues. [ READ MORE ]
