I had a load od statistics about our trip to write up, but the only one I can remember is that we went through 18 toilet rolls over the two weeks… Anyway photos of the trip can be found by clicking on the picture of Lee below.

It’s a sad sight, Camp KCC is being dismantled as we prepare to head home.
Still its been a fantastic trip.
Just the long drive home to go now.

It seems the café brigade managed to get a run of the Onde in as well as the Gyr.
Anyway we’ve fifty bottles of beer left to drink now.
Home tomorrow.

Friday is faff day.
A delayed start to the morning kicked things off.
Once we got going we all ran the Lower Guisane in groups of four. Low level meant a more technical decent than our previous runs.
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, even Liz who had an emergency exit from her boat in an eddy.
After this a [...]

I can’t believe I forgot to mention this:
After Dave’s swim his boat took a solo run down the gorge. This had the unfortunate consequence of re-modeling the nose of his Burn, quite badly.

We’re in a resteraunt and everything has gone weird. Toy soldiers and plastic dinosaurs keep appeafring in people beer glasses.
Odd.

Day fourteen and we did the run that last week Martyn said “We’d were mad not to do”. Well half of us did anyway. Those that didn’t join us on Chateau Queayras Gorge did the Upper Guil.
Those who did the Gorge joined in another farcical epic.
The brief version goes three swims, one walk out. The [...]

Well all twenty two of us did the Middle Guil in the end. The levels were lower than when we did it last week, but still it was an enjoyable an excitable paddle.
Only a few ran triple steps at the start, all succsessfully. Dave S mannaged it wih both paddle and deck this time, which [...]

We’re off to check out thr Guil.
Things are a bit cramped as Ernst’s car has had to be taken to the garage to get the engine working properly.

A quiet day.
This morning we went to look at the Middle Clarre. When we got to the get in it was 3.5 degrees, very windy and snowing.
We went to look at the Briacon Gorge instead.
This, it has to be said was a very picturesque grade three river, if a litle low side.
After this a logistical [...]
