I spent last weekend up in North Wales with KCC on what I fear might become known as “Simon’s Annual Tryweryn Trip”. Well at least it’ll fit well with “Tony’s Dart Weekend” and “Guy’s Annual Usk Trip“.
Anyway with twenty of us we managed to put in a good effort with groups paddling both the Upper and Lower Tryweryn. A spectacular number of swims were notched up by some of the newer club members, even more spectacular quantities of beer was drunk, cameras were lost, games of Killer Bunnies were played, sheep were herded and rescued and my car engine blew up.
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and it was a great opportunity for members of the club to paddle together on a river that everyone could appreciate.
So all in all a pretty successful weekend really. Apart from the Saab now being non-function that is.
